Web Comic
The idea of having my own comic site surfaced in 2006 (or 2007?) when I got bored doing my day job. At that time I already had a blog site but I felt that it wasn’t going anywhere. So I thought I should go back to an area where I was more comfortable – graphics and illustrations. Making comics allowed me to get ideas out of my head more easily as opposed to making very detailed illustrations. That’s not to say comics are easy to draw – I need to work very hard at it, but most importantly, I am doing something that I feel belongs to me. The graphic projects that I worked on during my day hours didn’t belong to me, they belonged to the company that hired me, and so, to most of those tasks, I don’t have much of an attachment. I strive to update my comic site every week, but really it all depends on how much energy I have left after a full day of work.
