Luck is definitely involved in both online bingo games and Poker Bingo games, but one major difference between them is that, in a Poker Bingo game, you need to place a bet on your poker bingo cards to keep them. That is, you pay for your poker bingo cards at the beginning of the game (exactly like you pay for your regular bingo cards), but as the game progresses, all players will be asked if they want to keep their cards. To keep the cards you want, you pay again for each one that you wish to keep. This is called the “Ante-up”. For example, you have six poker bingo cards in your hand, and there are only three of them you think have a chance of winning, you keep them by paying for the three cards to stay in the game.
Between each ante up period bingo ball are drawn. The player will see their poker bingo cards being auto-daubed, when the numbers on them match with the drawn ball numbers. After a certain number of balls have drawn, (typically 10 balls) the game will briefly pause. All participating players will have 20 seconds to ante up and select their cards. The player will quickly determine which cards they want to keep, probably based on how well they think each of the cards in their hand is doing. Some players would keep all the cards despite the fact that some of them are not doing so well, but rather simply because the player has faith in them, or he/she wants to bluff other players by creating an illusion that he/she is holding a superbly lucky hand. Players can also “fold” the game, forfeiting a win by not keeping any cards. |
ABOVE: After a few ante-up sessions, the number of players and the total number of cards remaining in the game would probably go down, and that round of the game will reach its end when a bingo card reaches BINGO or all players have “folded”. If all players fold and no BINGO is declared, the jackpot prize will be carried forward to the next game. The player that holds the winning bingo card gets the jackpot prize. That round of Poker Bingo has ended.
