Bingo Central is an online Flash bingo game by Bingoworkz. The game doesn't require the user to download a big executable file to install the game, it just plays shortly after the game applet is downloaded and runs on your web browser.
Operating an online bingo game is not easy at all. Different servers and operators run the game 24/7, handle card purchases for many players, pay out winnings, create chat rooms, etc; all these activities are nearly transparent to the players, and all they see is the look of game applet.
After subsequent updates and refinements to the game back-end technologies, Bingoworkz was ready to give Bingo Central a fresh new coat of paint and add more features to it. Bingo Central 4.0 was a big game software upgrade project that took over three months to develop.
NEW LAYOUT & GRAPHICS In Bingo Central 4.0, the game screen is divided into two halves; on the left is where bingo cards, micro games and game information sit, on the right is where the chat room and jackpot information sit.
In the bingo card display area, a special spot is designated for the best bingo card. It gets updated whenever a ball is called and it saves a lot of hassle from scrolling through tens of cards to find your best performing card.
Below the bingo cards is a new important feature - micro games. Micro games are miniaturized version of popular games, such as slots, keno, blackjack and pull tab games. The money it brings to the house is immense, because in the previous versions of Bingo Central, players had nothing to do while waiting for the bingo game results. Now, they can entertain themselves constantly.
FAIRIES
Chat-leaders are people who lead a chat room. They create a lot of fun for the players and they always wish people luck at the beginning of every bingo game. "Fairy", is a brand new concept to Bingo Central. It's a fun animation that can only be triggered to appear of player's screen by the chat leaders. Whenever a "fairy" appears, people become more enthusiastic and lightened up. Bingo Central offers different game looks for players to choose from, and the game looks are called " skins". Different skins feature a different "Fairy" animation, and in the example above, the "fairy" is actually a beer mug running across the screen in the "Father's Day" theme. (Animation by Jey Legarie)
EXPANDED CARD BUYING OPTIONS
The "Buy Cards" also got a major revision in this new release. With new and more powerful database queries, card packages can be purchased ahead of time, a feature cherished by a lot of players who do not want to miss "big games".
AUTO CARD PURCHASING
"Auto Buy" sounded very straight forward, but people wanted a lot of options for this feature. How to start auto card purchases, how many cards to buy and at what price and for how many games, and how to stop the auto feature could be a very confusing and detering ordeal. We came up with a visual representation to provide feedback to the player on the decisions they had to make. An "auto-buy robot" under each card price catergory will activate and start moving whenever the player starts auto-buy, and will "turn off" when the player decides to stop auto-buy or the funds in his account have run out.
SPEEDY BUCKS
Speedy Bucks are a brand new type of bonus money that you can use in the Bingo Central bingo games. Players receive Speedy Bucks when they deposit to their game account during special promotion periods, but they will be gone at midnight. So players should use them to buy cards for their bingo games. One of the goals of introducing Speedy Bucks into the game network was to let players experience the thrill of buying maximum amount of cards allowed for a bingo game (as players call it, “MAX CARDS”). Since all Speedy Bucks will be returned to the system at midnight, don’t save them! Spend them all!
