The fond memories of enjoying yourself in a fair can be revisited by playing Fortune Fair, a 3x5 multi-line slots machine!

The carousel-shaped slots machine is filled with fair games symbols, creating a colorful array of fun times - teddy bear prizes, a motorized duck hunt game, spinning teacups, clowns and balloons, carousel horses, a ferris wheel, fortune teller, and a hit the bell strength tester!

ABOVE: I chose dusk as the backdrop of the game because I thought objects would look more interesting and rich with an orange ambient and cast shadow. It also symbolized the height of the fun at the fair because with one last game, it's time to go home for dinner.

There is a watermelon slice bonus slots symbol in the game, whenever the player gets one, a watermelon slice is added to the top right corner of the game screen. When the player has collected 10 slices, a bonus game will start!

ABOVE: In the bonus game, the player gets to choose three watermelons out of ten in the watermelon patch. Only one has the big prize. To make the game more fun, hints are given when the player chooses the wrong one. Hint messages such as "It's in an even numbered watermelon" or "The number is bigger than 5".

ABOVE: Paytable is often neglected in the game design process, but it is always important. There has be a place to display credits at all times to ease the tension of paranoid players. Also, all the pay-out information has to be scrammed into a single screen for quick access.

ABOVE: Help screen, if ever visited by the player, indicates that your game is too complicated to play. But compared to slots machine of the old days where all the player needs to do is to pull the handle, touch-screen games are very complicated, and all we can say is that the more you bet, the bigger the winning amount.
