Games Created For Rockwell Collins In-flight entertainment system (IFE)

Board games are the most popular game genres for the IFE system for many reasons - the game logic algorithms are most easily available for free through public domains, which cuts programming time a lot, and the algorithms are very robust. Level design is also easy; simply let the computer think harder.

The challenge, of course, is to make very common games look more interesting and engaging. With the exception of card games, nearly all board games I designed have a small twist to it. For example. a Connect-4 game is given a parking lot theme, and the player is the little car trying to win free parking by winning the game against a really bored cash booth operator.
